Deck Garden Summer 2012

This is the beginning of my deck garden for summer 2012.  I've selected mostly coleus and dahlias, all from the local greenhouse.

Planting Hope

My deck garden three years ago (June, 2009).  Making this garden was great therapy.  At the time, my life felt very fragile.  Planting and arranging these plants allowed me to nurture something and promote its future, which in turn gave me a feeling of hope.

The above shows the center arrangement featuring Vinca.

In the northeast corner I grew multiples of prolific plants I had divided, which I later gave to friends.
